There have been several reported missile hits in the Strait of Hormuz as tensions in the Middle East escalate.

The Strait of Hormuz has been rocked by explosions following reports that cargo ships were hit by Iranian missiles. Three commercial ships have been damaged by "unknown projectiles" in the crucial shipping lane, with at least one bursting into flames.
One vessel had reportedly been hit 93km (50 nautical miles) north-west of Dubai. The US military had earlier said it "eliminated" 16 Iranian mine-laying ships in the area, after President Donald Trump warned Iran not to "put out any mines" there. United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations centre (UKMTO) received a report of a vessel having been hit by an unknown projectile in the key shipping lane, off the coast of Dubai. The crew are reported safe and well.
