What we know so far
Residents in Dubai are describing hearing a powerful blast that shook parts of the city, with warning sirens also sounding shortly afterwards. Elsewhere in the region, explosions have been reported in Abu Dhabi and in Doha, the capital of Qatar, while air raid sirens were activated in Kuwait City.
