Protesters calling for the release of political prisoners in Azerbaijan said they were attacked Thursday afternoon by bodyguards protecting Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev outside the Waldorf Astoria hotel on Washington’s Pennsylvania Ave., a few blocks from the White House.
